Ms. Qi Yang has more than 30 years of experience in the intellectual property (IP) field, serving clients both domestically and internationally. She began her patent career in 1993 in Japan, where she worked with Japanese patent law firms for ten years, handling patent prosecution and litigation for numerous leading global enterprises. Ms. Yang joined Jeekai & Partners in 2004 and has been a partner at Shangcheng & Partners since 2008. Leveraging her extensive patent practice experience, she was nominated as a technical officer by the Beijing Intellectual Property Court in 2020 to assist in the trial of patent administrative and infringement litigation cases. She had served for three years as a member of the trial panel for cases related to pharmaceuticals and other fields. She holds a B.S. in physical chemistry from Fudan University and an M.S. in chemistry from Ochanomizu University (Japan). Ms. Yang has earned a strong reputation among clients worldwide and possesses deep expertise in Chinese patent prosecution, invalidation, civil and administrative enforcement proceedings, licensing, freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses, and more.
